first ride on new fork- what to watch for? (nervous)

I just replaced the fork on my cyclocross bike, and am wondring if there's anything I need to watch for on my first ride?

I took it slow, methodical, did everything by the book- measure twice, cut once, etc. Lined up all the stem, cable hangers, etc. Took my time setting up the cantis just right. Headset feels the same (tension wise) as it did on the old fork, so I think I'm good to go, but there is just a tiny bit of nerves, so if anyone has any tips, or "If you feel ___ happen, stop immediately" etc. I'd appreciate it.

I think I'm good, just being extra cautious.

As long as the headset has no play, the stem's steerer and handlebar clamp bolts are tightened properly, the brakes function the way they are supposed to and the front wheel is tightened properly in the dropouts, knock yourself out. You should have everything covered properly.
