Can Bent Spokes be Fixed?

I had a minor mishap on Monday night. I did not clip in properly and my shoe sliper into the spoke of my front wheel. I guess I was lucky not to crash. Two of the spokes are noticeably bent. I assumed they would have to be replaced, but my mechanic said they could be re-tensioned. I believe they are titanium spokes. Can bent spokes be fixed?

Almost certainly retensioning your wheel will straighten your spokes and fix your wheel.

If you don't know for sure, you don't have titanium spokes. They exist, but they aren't common.

I don't think titanium spokes bend. They snap. Retensioning them will usually straighten them out. I believe they will be a tad weaker than the others, but as long as you didn't warp your rim in this mishap, you should be fine after they retension them... depending on how many spokes you have.
