Same torque, different depths for Campy Record cranks
Hi, I just mated my new '05 Campy Record square taper carbon cranks to a Chorus bottom bracket. When torquing down, it seemed like the drive side would keep going until I reach spec torque. I can hardly see any of the spindle showing. On the non-drive side, I reached the torque setting fairly early. Looking at it from above, it looks a little weird. Non-drive side has more spindle showing than the drive side. Is this normal?

If the ends of the crankarms clear the chainstays by roughly the same amount on both sides then it's fine.

Torque readings are also affected by any lube, also surface finish.
