In line brake question - old school levers
I've installed in line levers on a couple of my bikes before but they both had aero brake levers.
Does anyone have experience installing in line levers when you have old school brake levers with the cable coming out of the top? Will the cable take the bend and I'm not sure if I need to secure the housing to the bar before the enter the in line lever.
Any advice is appreciated.

I'm pretty sure there was a thread on this a week or two ago.
May have been in C&V
edit: just dug up this thread from last year https://www.bikeforums.net/bicycle-mechanics/306470-non-aero-levers-cx-line-levers.html

i jam my thumbs up and back into the tubes. this way i can point my fingers straight out in front to split the wind and attain an even more aero profile, and the usual fixed gear - zen - connectedness feeling through the drivetrain is multiplied ten fold because my thumbs become one with the tubing.
