105 front shifter?
I am wondering if my 105 shifter is defective. Background is a new 08 bike with 900 miles, 105 shifters and a standard double. The shifter functions, but the trim notch doesn't move the FD at all when on the big ring. There is only a very small movement on the small ring trim. The set up is good so that I don't have issues with the chain rubbing so the trim isn't really necessary, but I would like for the shifters to work properly. I also feel that the shifter may be a little stiff feeling.
I stopped by a shop and checked the trim on a dura-ace shifter and it functioned as I would expect. The shop didn't have any 105 bikes and this wasn't the shop where I purchased the bike.
Thanks for any opinions.

You might try adjusting the limit screw just a tad to let the der. move further out. DOing this might also free up the shifter some as it won't be fighting pressure from the screw.
