Ultegra Drivetrain Slipping
I recently replaced the chain on my Ultegra 10 speed drive train. I have adjusted the gears, but I still have two gears where teh chain will slip. It isn't skipping from gear to gear, just slipping. Any ideas on how to correct problem?

How old is the cassette? Often if you put a new chain on a worn cassette, the slippage will be worse than with the old chain. And you'll be ruining a new chain too.
Take a look at the teeth on the cogs, particularly the small ones (which have fewer teeth to share the wear). If they look like shark fins, you'll probably want to replace the cassette. |
caloso's on it.
Take a look at this page: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/chains.html#wear If it won't help you this time, it might help the next.... |
Thanks
I was hoping there was another solution, since I don't want the expense of buying a new cassette, but it looks like i will just have to suck it up.
