campagnolo front derailleur with shimano shifter

I am sorry, if this topic has been already discussed, however I didn't find it.
I am considering to use the new capagnolo compact front derailleur with the left shimano 9/10 shifter. Des that work?
Thanks

Many things that are not technically compatible will "work" to a degree acceptable to some riders. If you already have the parts, try it and see. If not, it isn't something I'd spend money to do.

I don't really understand the fashion quote (some fast research shows, it can go this way but not the other, see https://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/f...p?t-62292.html), my question rather was whether the cable pull requirement for shimano and campagnolo front derailleurs per shift are different (and if, so how much ) or the same .
Thanks for feedback.

Not exactly your match, but I ran a 10s Chorus FD with a Shimano 600 8s STI and never had any issues.
