trouble removing chain
hi, i'm really new to bike repairing but i've decided to try to replace my own chain instead of take it in to the shop. i have a shimano ultrega 10 speed chain and i'm having an absurdly difficult time removing it. it recently got wrapped around the pedal arm and bent to the point where every one or two times around it goes half way over to the next gear over and then slips back.
anyhow, i purchased a chain tool but for the life of me i can't get the pin out! i've read as much as i could find on this and nowhere did it mention extreme difficulty doing this so I'm thinking I must be doing something wrong. I out it into the slot where it fits and twist my chain tool as hard as i can and it indents the metal of the pin but doesn't show any signs of pushing out the other side.
any ideas would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks.

figured it out.
yup. i wasn't using enough force. when i took the two parts of the chain tool and got some leverage it worked.
