Frame Alignment?

I have an 80's Bianchi frame and I am in the middle of rebuilding it. I have checked the rear triangle alignment with the string method. I tied a string from one rear dropout up and around the head tube, down around to the other rear dropout.

I then measure the distance from the seat tube to the string. I measured 32mm on the left side and 36mm on the right as shown in the pic. The pic was take a bit to the left, so the distance left and right does not look right.

I can adjust the frame as found here...
https://www.sheldonbrown.com/frame-spacing.html

Is the amount it is out necessitate spreading the frame?

Also, the bend in the rear dropouts, how do I tell if the angle is correct? I presume the dropout has to be parallel to the centerline of the bike.

Look at the Park Tools (e.g.) dropout alignment gages. They will show parallel and axial alignment (or lack thereof). You might be able to make an analog yourself. But I think you should find a shop with a frame table and someone that knows how to use it. Where are you (please put you location in your profile)?

You might also ask in the Framebuilders and in the Classic/Vintage forums.

Ahem.

Note that I said "also". This isn't the wrong forum; it just helps to get more eyeballs sometimes.
