Creaking bianchi
I'm a big guy (187) and I can put the hurts to a frame.. and I'm rough on things. My newer to me Bianchi has been creaking on me, a lot when I'm out of the seat, and etc. It's a fixed gear bike now, but not cut nor painted. In slowly eliminating items... I heard a rumour, and ran across this

When I worked with Bruce Gordon in the eighties we had this big strong guy on an SL (Columbus) Bianchi who would stop by from time to time with a creaking problem. We tried everything to do with the BB and H'bars and stem. Out of Desperation we removed his seat post and noticed a strange wear pattern on it. Seems he was big enough to flex the frame considerably when he stood ond it hard, and his seat post was rubbing on the moving and flexing seat tube. A clean-up of the post and fresh lube (anti-seize?) did the trick and cured the creaking completely. I've since had this happen to two or three others and its always been the same - a big strong guy on a light frame. |

Can anyone vouch to the validity of this and if it works for them or not? Have you tried greasing up the seatpost before insertion? |
don'r rule out making sure the peddles are tight.
|
or the bottom bracket threads being dry or the bb itself being loose and as crazy as it sounds you should probably check your rear skewer (if you have one) and make sure it is greased and tight.

Creaking is common in the bottom bracket and/or crankset. Next time you overhaul the bottom bracket, use new ball bearings and retorque the crank bolts after the first 80km or so. I have also experienced creaking caused to slightly loose chainring bolts.

Removing, cleaning, and regreasing the seatpost couldn't hurt. Why not try it and see if the creaking changes or goes away.
