Replace E-Type Front Derailleur with Clamp: Spacer needed?

Hi everyone, I want to replace the broken E-Type FD on a steel hybrid with a regular 28.6 clamp derailleur. Do I need to put a spacer (2.5 mm) between the bottom bracket shell and the cup? If so, where can I get that spacer? Thanks.

I have the same Question!

I have an Altus E-Type front derailleur and I just put on a new crank. The Old crank had a big ring with 44 teeth on it and the new chainring is 46 and the front derailleur is incompatible.

Are there E-Type front derailleurs for 46 tooth chainrings? Can I just throw on a tube mounted deraileur?
