Wheel noise...
I just got a new bike (Windsor The Hour, so no LBS to take it to). After only about 10mi of riding it, the front wheel is making this faint knocking sound every revolution. At first I thought it was the sensor hitting the magnet for the computer, but that's not the case. Any ideas? What should I check? I'm not opposed to running it down to the LBS and paying them to sort it out, but if it's something easy I can do myself, I'll try that first.

Are you sure the axle is seated all the way into the fork dropouts?
Is the rim centered between the fork legs? New bikes usually need both wheels trued and all spokes tensioned. The manufacturer or dealer should do that but usually don't Al |
1. Make sure that your tire is seated all the way around on both sides.
2. Make sure the rim isn't hitting one of the brake pads. 3. Check all of your spokes to be sure none is broken. |
