handlebar (road)
I was wondering what type of handlebars (road) you guys suggest for a heavy rider like me (180lb 5' 8"), would you suggest that a 25.8 clamp size could take that kind of weight and stress?

Yes, any normal handlebar will handle your weight. You might want to avoid ultra-light carbon or aluminum bars. For the most durability go with steel, but I don't think you'd have any problem with a "normal" aluminum bar. My personal favorites are Ritchy and Easton.

I'm 190 lbs now... I use the specialized road bg ergo bar.
I used to own cinelli's and have tried modolo's.. I had no problem w/ these bars...
BTW, all were aluminum.

I weigh 70 pounds more than you.When I was putting together my bike, I just got a good tough bar (Salsa Poco). I think it's a cyclcorss bar. Just get a good bar. Steel is too heavy.

Handle Bar
I weigh 175 and I've been riding the Easton Carbon bars for a couple of years now and there is no problem with them at all. I have a friend that pushes 190 and is a hard sprinter and just a hard rider all around and he uses the same bar.
Any quality bar will suffice. I don't see the need for the oversize in your situation.

I was thinking of getting ITM Millennium with ITM stem as well, that's the reason why I asked. Thanks for all your help and feedback.
