using old saddle with new bike

I have a nice broken in saddle that I've been using with my 30 year old 10 speed. It attaches to the seat post using two serrated clamps that are tightened. Can this type of saddle be used on my new Giant OCR2? I'd sure like to move it over and replace the OEM saddle that came with the bike.

Thanks,

Sheldon

Sure, if it's got standard rails.

The rails look the same. Do I have to change the method of attaching the saddle to the post? Is there an adapter or mount that I can buy?

Thanks,

Sheldon

In most cases, your new seatpost should clamp onto the rails of your old saddle without a problem.

Just remove the clamping part on the saddle. It sounds
like its the standard clamp that came with Brooks saddles
to attach to straight seatpost (no head or clamp just an
open tube).
