Crank arm compatibilty? 2003 Sirrus

Well, the LH pedal just came flying off the 03 Sirrus I'm fixing up! Threads on the crank are gone. Fitting a new crank arm seems simple enough (I might be wrong) but are there any compatibility issues I have to worry about?

Come to think of it [stops to measure] the crank arms, measured from one side to the other, on this bike are 210mm...? Is there some other way I should be measuring? If not, this sounds like it's going be painful to find just a LH crank in... Would I be better off replacing both sides?

Ah-hah! You measure centre of rotation to centre of rotation, don't you? Only thing makes sense. So it's 175! Whew. Must get a better bike mechanics book..

Any 175 mm crank arm that has the same bottom bracket configuration (square taper, Octalink, ISIS, etc.) should work.

Click the 3 different types of Shimano.

You probably have to remove a dust cap over the spindle to see.
