TTT Motus Stem cracking?

I have recently done a search on some info about a TTT Motus Stem. All the info I have found on google has been reports of them cracking.

Is this common for this stem? In a search it shows atleast 4 or so people who have cracked them. Are they good or is it bound to crack?

The faceplate on those stems had a rep for cracking/breaking. Don't think 3T ever had a recall on them though.
I've never had a problem with my 3T Status. Maybe you should look into one of those instead.

Yes

One source says "...the clamp size is 25.8 mm (+/- 0.2 mm), which is also a relatively common size that should be compatible with most handlebars having a clamp diameter in the 25.8 mm to 26.0 mm range."
This plate cracked after being ridden six months, or maybe 1000 miles on a 26.0 mm Cinelli Eubios bar.
The stem uses two spacers, front and back. The rear spacer is rubber, while the front spacer is metal.
When I tighten the plate on this bar, using even torque, there is still about 1/2 mm of space in the front. So I'm wondering if using the smaller 25.8 mm bars would allow for even torque between the two bolts with no gap.
