Freehub <-> cassette compatability question

Greetings all.

I am planning on getting a new wheelset and shifters and I have a question.
Basically, the question boils down to, is the spline pattern and width on shimano and campy cassettes the same?

I'm planning to get campy 10 spd shifters, and a new wheelset, but all the shops around here sell mainly shimano parts. Can I put a 10spd campy cassette onto any '10spd' rear wheel, or do I need to get a wheel with a hub built specifically for campy 10spd?

Thanks

There are campy compatible cassettes made to fit on shimano hubs.

You otherwise need a campy hub to run a campy cassette.
