new tires

I have on my road bike Kenda tires 700x23 23-622 the same size as the new krylion michelin. The problem is that the krylion tire seems too large to fit in the wheel. Am I doing something wrong ? Krylion it's the same tire 700x23 23-622, the wheel is herrmans hps 16x622-635/28" vh7.

Krylion looks like is wider that kenda and it's just covers the entire wheel and can't make it to fit inside the wheel.

I would appreciate any advice :(

Thanks

Try fitting one edge of the tire in then partially inflating your tube and stuffing it in (valve first). Make sure to get the whole thing in without to much force so you don't pinch it. Then start feeding (from the valve area) the other edge of the tire watching to make sure you don't snag the tube.

I've changed many tires and have had the best results putting them in this way. The only flat while installing I've done was with debris in the rim from a gumwall tire that had adhered itself.

The trick is to get the side of the tire that's opposite the last few inches of bead into the lower center section of the rim. It actually works best if you fit the section adjacent to the valve stem last.

1. Pinch the beads together so they don't seat on the rim.
2. Hold the wheel vertically in front of you with the valve stem down.
3. Grasp the tire at 3:00 and 9:00 and push downward. Try to concentrate all of the slack where you need it.

Most times, using this process, I'm able to install and remove tires without using tire levers. I think that most of the difference is in the rim. Some rims, like Rhyno Lites, are wide and shallow and are difficult to install tires onto.
