XTR FC-975 removal

Hey guys,

I have a bike coming with a sexy XTR 975 crank on it, and I want to pull it off and put it on my bike. A friend of mine has the tools to remove his 07 XT crank (with the external BB like the XTR) that I can borrow, but I want to find out if they will work.

Will his tools work on the XTR as well? I heard they changed it up or something to require new tools!

Any help would be appreciated, the XTR bike gets here next week and I can't wait to swap the cranks out!

Thanks!
-Andrew
