Help with brake swap

Hi All - I'm attempting to change from Campy Record '05 brake calipers on my Parlee Z3 with Alpha Q fork to Zero Gravity calipers. The back Zero G brake has gone on no problem but the front does not seem to have enough reach, can't get the brake pads to reach the rims. I understood the Zero Gs to have the same ~40-50mm reach as the Records so I'm at a loss. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

S

Just so you know, this might be a job you will want your LBS to do for you. Brakes can get kind of frustrating at times.

If you want to give it a go yourself, you can try the park tool site here: Park Tool, brakes

Hold the Zero G calipers up to the former Campy calipers and see if the reach matches up. I'm at a loss too unless the Zero G was made wrong. Your Alpha Q fork should certainly accept any normal short reach brake.

BTW, are you sure the front wheel is seated fully in the fork dropouts?
