dura ace wheels-continental kevlar tires
A woman in my cycling group finds it nearly impossible to fix a flat due to the difficulty of the tightness of the tire on the rim. Does anyone have any suggestions on a different high end tire that's easier to install, but not be so loose that it would roll off in the event of a flat? - Thanks

I have had no fit issues with Panaracer and Hutchinson tires on rims that were impossible to put Contis on without a tire jack.

Tires are supposed to be difficult to get on, especially when new. They get easier to put on and off over time. Is she using tire levers? They make it a lot easier for tire repair.
Also, she should not have to be changing her inner tube from flats all that often. If she is getting a lot, she should check her rims for shavings or something else that may be causing flats.

Thanks , I'll pass the info on the Panaracer and Hutchinson tires on to her. I don't know how often that she has flats, but her last flat was due to a worn out tire. We were riding a century and she had to ride back in the sag.

Also, she could try the VAR "wishbone" tire tool. It really civilizes the reinstallation of tight tires although doesn't do much for removal over standard tire levers.

The VAR tire tools worked great; but, I haven't been able to find them for sale anywhere recently. Do you know of anywhere that they are available?

I find that folding tires are usually a little easier (regardless of brand) to take off and put on.
