Raleigh Mountain Tour Elkhorn-Seatpost size
Okay here is one for the vintage post maybe, but it is also mechanical:
What is the original seatpost size for a Raleigh Mountain Tour Elkhorn mountain bike. I don't have a caliper that does metric, and my caliper gives a range (in inches) due to the obvious unevenness of the seat post or tube of 1.020-1.025 which is in metric somewhere between 25.8 and 26.03. Anyway does any know the real measure, because someone sawed the end off this seatpost, and it is no longer imprinted on the seatpost.
Let me know Please!!!
Barry

if i remember right your size is 26.0. it is best to measure the frame( Seat tube) in four area then take the avg. and that should be your size,if the opening haven't been destroy from clamping to tight. I hope this help.

Hey, thanks. I'll give the average a try also. Do you know if this is a standard size? All I see normally are 25.8, and 26. something that I don't think was 26.0. I'll have a look around.

2.54 cm = 1.0 inch
multiply inches by 25.4 to cover to mm
or 2.54 x decimal inches to convert to CM
