Stuck fixed cup

I got a new(to me) frame with the old fixed cup in place. How do I get the damn thing out?

It appears you are using a variation of Sheldon's method. That's the way to do it. Try soaking the tireads in a good penetrationg oil like Kroil. Also make sure you are turning it the correct direction, left (British/ISO and Swiss) or right (French and Italian) depending on the frame's nationality.

Put the fixed cup in the vice and then use the entire frame as leverage.

Well I had to put a scary amount of weight of the frame in the vice, but it's out now. Thank you sir(s).

Isn't it the opposite way? From his pic, anyway....
