Diamondback Insight/ Thule Carrier

I have a Thule 962xt speedway trunk rack and just bought a Diamondback Insight 1 http://www.diamondback.com/bikes/per...rid/insight-1/ .

I am waiting for the tech to finish the tuneup before I pick it up.

My concern is the cable is located on the bottom of the top rail where it will make contact with the carrier support cradles. The cable is insulated. Will this configuration be a problem?

I just asked this exact question when I picked up the woman's version of this bike a couple of hours ago. The owner of the bike shop said it was fine...that's what the indentations in the holder are for ( I also have a Thule...not sure though what the model # is)

I just took it for a spin around the neighborhood....not long as it's raining here....rides real nice except the brakes are really sqeaking....I'm hoping it's just because they were wet
