Dinged Frame

Hi, just recently dinged the bottom of my frame. Should I be worried about it (has the strength of the frame been compromised?)? Can it be fixed? Thanks for your help.

Should be fine to ride. Fixing on the other hand depends on what you want to achieve. Popping out the dent ain't gonna happen easily, but you could fill the dent with auto body putty then repaint. Even easier would be to get a sticker to cover it!

Bikes: I never learned to ride a bike. It is my deepest shame.

I would keep riding it without worrying too much. Check it periodically (like when you lube you chain) to see if there are any cracks beginning to spread outward from the dent. Overall, though, that spot on the bike is generally not a high stress or common failure point (I cannot recall ever seeing a bike fail there, although I'm sure someone has managed to do it )

Thanks for the help. It's good to know that I don't have to get a new bike anytime soon. I'm just so sick that I was so careless. Again, thanks and have a great day!

ouch

if the ding is through---- meaning if there is a hole-- trash the frame--- no good for hard use--
canondales are tough and fat-- but very tempered---- if there is flex--- danger!!!!!
put a sticker on it if it is not bad do not expose what is there
have a shot of burbon
smoke a camel
buy a pinarello..............................................
