Loud clicking coming from the crank when I pedal.

Basically, whenever I give good power, I hear the click when each foot pushes. Would it be some kind of alignment issue with the chain or derailer or something? Something loose? The bike's about a month old and this isn't a big problem. It's just annoying and It'll probably end up getting worse...maybe

I just had a similar issue, I brought it to my LBS and they fixed it by tightening the crank's bolts

Probably what I'll have to do, since I have none of the right tools for bicycles

My bike is a Giant FCR3, btw. Not sure if there's some sort of issue I should know about. I quite like the bike. And this is the only problem with it.

Take it back to your LBS and have them fix the problem, it is probably either loose crank arms or loose bottom bracket cups.

Unfortunately clicks could be any one of 1000 different things. There are a bunch of threads on the topic. Easiest thing to do is to get the LBS to deal, as they're not fun to track down.

Get yourself around to one of the local discount tool stores be it a Walmart, some auto supply place or wherever. Buy a set of metric wrenches that goes from 8 to 17 mm. Then pick up a set of metric allen keys. There, now you have your bike specific toolkit 90% completed and I'd be suprised if it costs you more than a $20 bill.
