Newbie with a chain problem
Last night I degreased and reoiled my chain (I have a trek 2.1, its a 9 speed). Now I took my back wheel off and cleaned the sprockets as well. This afternoon when I test road it when I switch to my lowest (hardest) gear the chain will click for sometimes over 5 seconds before it engages into gear. What do I have wrong and how do I fix it.

Adjust RD?
Everytime I read theads like this, I wanna say, I cleaned my chain exactly ONCE, and after seeing how much work it entails and how the shinny-look don't last, now I just buy a new chain when it needs it.

You could try 1/2 turn clockwise on the barrel adjuster found at the rear derailleur.
Or it may be time to replace the shift cables and cable housings. The small housing found at the rear derailleur could account for your problem.
The smallest cog on the cassette is actually high gear when combined with the largest chainring.

Make sure your wheel is seated in the dropouts correctly as well. Do the QR/.nuts with it loose on the ground then tighten.

Yeah, reseat the wheel. Otherwise, you just need to adjust the deraillier with the barrel adjuster.
