hairline crack around nipple on rim, welding??

There are some hairline cracks around two nipples on my rim.
I do want to keep the wheel (it's an old school campy sewup).
The best way I could think of is get someone weld it.
Anyone tried? thanks.

It's toast!
The metal is fatigued. Even if you could weld it, you'll have more cracks on the way.

Agree with the above post. You cannot weld cracks in a rim. Have to replace the rim.

Time for a new rim.

All rims wear like brake pads and tires.

Use it on a display bike.

Back years ago, my campy road pedals with black alloy cages kept cracking, I tried welding them using a TIG welder, and they then cracked next to the weld bead, most likely they were a non-weldable alloy such as 7075?

Such were the "good old days" of cycling....did I mention wool shorts with real leather chamois....
