Replacement fork for a Gary Fisher Zebrano S

I would like to reduce the weight of my bicycle. The bike is a 2006 Gary Fisher Zebrano-S model. The Zebrano had a fixed fork, the Zebrano-S has the suspension fork. How much weight would I cut by replacing the spring fork with a standard cromoly fork? Where would I find the standard fork for it?
