Open Pro w/ disc brakes

Any issues?

I've been using disc specific rims (Mavic A317) with my BB7 road brakes on my cross/commuter bike. I've been pondering re-building the wheels with Open Pros.

My A317 rims have eyelets that go all the way through both rim walls (makes building easy...just drop the spoke nipple in, it can't go anywhere else!), and I assume those eyelets are reinforcement for the forces that the disc brake exerts.

But Open Pros are nicer and LIGHTER.

Think it would pose problems for me?

No problem running the Open Pro with disc brakes, been there, done that.

Just keep away from cars, that's what wrecked my wheel.

Thanks. Good to know.

Current setup: Deore M525 with A317 rims.
Planned setup: Deore LX M585 with Open Pro. Over half a pound lighter, I believe.
