Right now I ride 1.0"x26" Hutchinson Top Slicks at just over 100psi. Completly smooth they go fast fast fast. Good control, a little bumpy but at that psi it can't be helped

I have Panaracer T-Serv 1.25. 3D Kevlar folding tyre with a very high friction rubber but with 1mm deep tread on a narow bead about 12mm wide. I commute year round and havent had any unsure/slippy moments. max pressure is 85psi but you could prob go to 90 if you are lighter than me (230) and/or have good rims for them to hook into. If you are looking for speed though I would suggest the ones above.
