Away from bike...thinking about ordering some tires for Surly LHT complete

I can get a great deal on a set of Armadillo 700x25s; however, I am away from my bike and I cannot recall what size rim is on it now.

For those of you that have a Surly LHT complete, is there a minimum tire width that I should put on this thing? Could I even run 700x23s if I wanted to?

Assuming the rims are 700c and they aren't intended for a 29" MTB, you certainly can run 25's or even 23's. Most bike rims are very tolerant of the tire sizes they weill acccept.

If you have the 700c version it came with 37c.

I wouldn't personally put a 25c on it. I don't know if it would blow off, but the bike
was designed to be used with a larger tire.

There are some nice 32c tires. I am using the Panaracer Pasela TG Folding 32c.
The actual size is more like 30 or 31c. It's a really nice tire.

If you have to have a small tire I'd suggest my personal favorite in the midsize world. The Rivendell Ruffy Tuffy 27c. I ran them for years and loved them.
The roads around here have gotten quite a bit worse and I need a larger tire now.
I might go to 35c next year, in places it's that bad.

The LHT complete bike comes with Alex Adventurer rims. I believe they're 24mm wide, so I would stick to 28mm and wider tires. Really, 32mm and wider make the most sense for that bike, in my opinion.
