Topolino front wheel problem

I have a set of Topolino's Revelation C-19. There is too much play in the front axle and makes an irritating noise under load. I took the axle apart, lubricated it and reassembled it but the excessive play remains. Do I need to replace the axle?

Thanks

I would contact Topolino directly, or the shop where you bought the wheel.

It's not the axle, its the bearings. I'm not familiar with the hubs on these wheels but if they are cup-and-cone bearings, they need to be adjusted. If they have cartridge bearings, the bearings need to be replaced.

Cartridge. Not sure how old they are but Topo had a bunch of bad bearings a few years ago. They sent me a replacement set for free. Send them an email with the serial number from the wheel (on a sicker under the rim tape near the hole for the valve stem). Very easy to replace. My problem was with the rear wheel. The bearing went after about 15000 miles. Front wheel has 24,000 - no bearing problem. By the way neither wheel has had to be trued in that time. I love those wheels.
