Shimano 105 front Derailleur compatability question

Will a 105 triple front work with an 8spd 26-11T Cassette? Right now I have a Sora triple front and it is garbage even when tuned. It misses shifts at times. I have dropped the chain several times. Just wondering if maybe the 105 might be a bit crisper. There are 105 fronts on sale on ebay for $20.

Thanks for the Help.

Oops I forgot to mention that the 105 derailleur was listed to work for 9spds. The seller says that it will work to the best of his/her knowledge but I wanted to be sure that he/she wasn't just trying to move these parts.

FD doesn't care what you have in the back. Triple FDs are finicky to adjust properly - and i've adjusted some pretty ****ty triple F.Ds before (think < $5 wholesale cost). Are you sure you aren't just missing and adjustment/cable + housing/shifter issue?

well I got it adjusted a bit better so that it is only misses the upshift to the big cog sometimes and then I have to crank the brifter over just a bit to hit the big cog. The real reason I wanted to get it is because I want to use the old Sora derailleur on a hybrid/commuter conversion bike that I am slowly going to be building up.
