Busted vento hub where spokes connect

http://www.new.facebook.com/album.ph...b&id=691120977

Happened 50 miles into the second day of an ms ride.

I weight 200 pounds and they had probably 3000 miles on them.

came on my 2006 Bianchi Veloce

what now?

I 've got some aksiums in the garage I took off my wife eros donna, when I bought her some ventos. Maybe I 'll just use those. She doesn't ride as much as I do so I guess I'll leave her ventos on.

doesn't anyone besides me think this SUCKS
.
My wife's bike is a 9 speed, to the freehub on her's won't match my 10 speed setup.
So I 've got to swap the freehub if I can in order to use those wheels

My only comment is don't use fancy wheels on long distance rides unless you have another set of them with you. Happens all the time that they break. Roger

warranty-check with dealer you bought it from, then go from there.

9,10 spd supposed to fit.

Fancy? These wheels came on this bike - a steel framed Bianchi touted as being a perfect bike for charity rides.
Maybe Bianchi shouldn't put fancy wheels on a bike that would never see a race.

Ventos have a good reputation as a strongish wheel, so you should try to go the warranty route.
