cable guide interferes with linear pull brakes!

Not sure if this is particular to the frame that I have finished building but I've noticed on it that the cable guides for disc brakes interfere with the little tab the spring arm uses to push the lever out when not on the brakes. My old XTR brake lever and my new cheapo Tektro brakes both have tabs that hit the cable guide when the rear brakes are not applied. I had to use my dremel tool to shave a few grams of AL to get the arm to clear the guide. My frame, a 15" Soma Groove, has both disc brake tabs on the dropout and also linear pull brake arms on the chainstays. Is this common with disc brakes when using linear pulls???

Also, I notice on this frame that 2 water bottle cages don't fit in the main triangle! The water bottle bosses on the seattube are way too low for it to work if there is a bottle holder on the downtube...
