Looking for a GPX / Hollowtech bolt?

1 Attachment(s)
Just installed (well 50% of the way there) a newer Truvativ GXP Elita crank with a "gigapipe" bb - which I think is the same a Hollowtech II?

I'm missing the non-drive side crank arm bolt(s) - there isn't one on the drive side as the spindle is mated with the crank arm...

Anyway, I'm a little confused about exactly what I need.

I've found this thing (pic attached):

The crankset is the same as found here:

Does anyone know where I can I order one cheap?

Thanks for any advice.

That 8.95 is the cheapest I've seen. Shipping kind of kills that though. I'd just go to your local Sram dealer and cough up the 15 bucks to have them order you one.

Was the crankset new? If it is, you're definitely missing parts and you shouldn't have to pay for them. If you bought it used (I recently got a good deal on a set of Omnium track cranks that didn't have the self-extracting cap), then you're up a creek. I ended up finding somebody that had broken a set of Truvativ cranks and he gave me the self-extractor cap for free. Ask around.

FYI, the only difference between a Giga X Pipe type BB and a Shimano Hollowtech 2 is that the GXP has a shim on the non-drive side, and the dust cap has a slightly smaller opening. If you press out the shim and trim the dust cap, a Shimano crank fits perfectly.

Conversely, if you put one of those shims into a Shimano BB, a GXP-style crank fits perfectly.

Well, I bought the "Truvativ GXP M15 Crank Bolt & M26 Cap" from eBike - the M15 (inner bolt) works fine, but the M26 cap doesn't fit the arm at all - it's too large. This is fairly irritating as I think the M15 is working itself loose without the outer cap.

Anyone know what I need?

Thanks.

Sounds like you're not giving it adequate torque. The role of the outer cap is to give the inner bolt something to push on when you're removing the left crankarm.
