Truvativ cranks

I have a set of Truvativ Rouler cranks on a bike I bought.

The cranks are 53/39 and are made of aluminum.

I am experiencing a problem that others have mentioned, but I have not found a solution.

The non-drive side crank will not stay tight. I have tried using the correct torque, really cranking down on the bolt, and even loc-tite. Nothing keeps the crank arm tightened properly.

Has anybody come up with a solution or will I really need to get another crank?

you need a new crank ,this is a problem with them. if your bike is new then there no reason to get it(them) replace by your lbs at no cost to you.

What you need to do is to have the BB shell faced. This is a known issue and the 2 outer surfaces of the BB shell NEED to be precisely parallel with each other otherwise there will be problems as you have described.

I think this is an issue with all outboard bearing designs but the Truvativ BB design is known to be particularly sensitive to it.
