Are bar end shifters compatible with XT mech

Hi All
I am looking to change my straight bars to mustache bars on my GT Zaskar. Are Dura Ace bar end shifters compatible with a rear XT mech and a LX front mech?

Cheers
Harry

Yes. The "speeds" must match your cassette but the barends will work with any current Shimano rear derailleur, road or MTB. The front will work also since barends are all friction for front shifting.

Except for a few makes, bar end shifters will fit at the ends of most "moustache" type bars. Exactly which moustache bars are you getting? If you're getting Nitto's, no problem. I've run bar end shifters in them as well as other moustache bars.

There is one model of dura ace 8-speed bar end that was made for the dura ace derailleurs that had a different pull. So look out for those.
