ERD for Mavic rim

hey,

I have an EN321 Disc rim that I am trying to build up at the moment. Does anyone know/has measured the ERD for this rim before. I came across a figure of 536mm on the web but that gave the wrong size spokes.

Thanks.

540mm. Rim was formerly XM321.

+1

Mavic uses a "Spoke Support Diameter," which is 536mm. Then you add 4mm for the ERD.

Ok thanks!

This is a bit of a quibble, but but Damon Rinard's spokecalc spreadsheet says for all Mavic rims,

ERD is Mavic's Nipple Seat Dia + 3mm for nipples
Not like 1mm of ERD difference is going to affect spoke length meaningfully, but now I've heard a second value for calculating Mavic's ERD.

Yep, I've heard it both ways too, and you're right that it doesn't make a real difference. Still always round down on spoke lengths :thumb:

And was known as the F219 before that...

Why does Mavic use such silly model designations for their rims? Why can't they use a name that's catchy like: Stinger, Assassin or Annihilator ???
