Axle Diameter on Track Hubs

I'll save the long agonizing story that preceded this posting. Tonight I found that the axles for Surly and Formula track hubs require different sized bolts than most bolt on wheels. I also found that bolts for Formula track hubs are even different from each other. I went to the Formula website and saw a description for axle diameter as M9 on 2 of their track hubs and M10 on another. Is this some kind of industry standard? I tried going to the Surly website to find out information on their axel diameter but couldn't find anything. The reason why this concerns me so much is I ended up losing a bolt for a Surly hub and replaced it with one from my Formula hub. I don't want to find out later that this was the wrong size! Thanks in advance to anyone that can provide more information.

I think I may have answered my own question. I think the Surly and Formula front hub should have 9mm axles with 1mm threading. Rear hubs have 10mm axles with 1mm threading. Anyone care to confirm?

You lost a bolt or a track nut?

That's pretty standard. Same as road hubs too.
