Bent tyre beads?

I recently bought some new tyres, and had the shop put them on for me. As they handed back my old tyres to me, they bent them to fit in a bag, making a loud cracking noise. The beads are now clearly a bit kinked.

Question: Does it matter? Anything to watch out for when using them?

The cracking sound is worrying. Wire beads can usually be bent back straight. I guess mount the tire, check the bead is seated properly and inflate, checking that the bead stays seated.
It is possible to "fold" a wire bead without damage. Check this link.
