Effective Storage of Unused Tires

I was sold six Michelin Krylion tires by a liquidator a few days ago. I would like to keep the tires, but I am afraid they might rot before I get to use them. I do not see myself using them for another year or two, as I only ride on weekends.

My question is whether to sell the tires or can I safely store them for two years or so before using them. If effective storage is possible, what is the best way to store them?

Thanks.

I bought a pile of Michelin Hi-Lite SuperComp HD tires on closeout about 20 years ago. I store them in my basement. I'm still using them and never had any problems with them.

keep them out of direct sunlight, very dry places, very hot places, and very oily places.

not sure how high humidity will affect tyre rubber.

wrap them in plastic wrap, keep them in cool, dry area, no sunlight (UV) and away from electric motors (arcs produce ozone).

Normal AC induction motors do not spark as no brushes so that type should not be a problem.

I have tires stored in my basement that are 10+ years old and they still appear and feel fine and show no deterioration. The heater is also in the basement, gas with electric motor blower. The basement is unheated other than heat rejected by the heater for the upstairs area. The basement normally never gets over 80 or so maximum even in the summer.
