Spin Doctor clinic at Performance

Went to a spin doctor clinic at Performance tonight and it was a very worthwhile event. Only 3 of us showed up, so we got to ask questions and get our bikes looked at and tweaked. He evaluated and blessed my recent headset overhaul (a first for me). The guy that got there before me was getting real repair work done, with only incidental charges for parts, where required.

The local store (mt. view, ca) was using their own mechanic for the clinic and he was a very experienced guy and created a good atmosphere. It was cool to watch someone do tasks that I taught myself from a book or fumbling around, ask him about it, check out his methods, tools, etc. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the report! That's the store I go to when I visit my parents in Palo Alto, so it's nice to hear positive things about their mechanic in case I ever have to have work done there.
