Whats the difference between these 3 Topeak pumps?
and which should I get for a road bike?
Turbo Morph, Road Morph, Mountain Morph. From their website I just see that the road morph is maybe 30g lighter. any other significant differences?
I already got one local junk pump which does not go beyond 50 psi, so dont want to repeat the mistake. Thanks for any help.

Do you have one with the gauge? How is it mounted on the frame? I really have never seen these larger frame mounted pumps.

I like the size of the Mini-morph for my road bike use. It doesn't need a gauge, since it's difficult to go past 80-90 psi. But that's good enough to finish a ride. The foot peg and the hose do help a lot when pumping.
The larger Road Morph should give you higher pressures, but I haven't tried one. The mountain bike versions are probably made to supply more air volume, with lower pressure, for big mountain bike tires.

The Road Morph is a little longer and thinner than the Mountain Morph and is designed for use with road tires/pressures. I have a Mountain Morph. I started using it when I road a mountain bike a lot. I have since switched to road bikes and still use the Mountain Morph. It works just fine on my road tires, 110 to 120 psi. The Road and Mountain Morphs have hoses and foot pegs, which are very handy. No experience with the Turbo.

Mountain Morph and Mini Morph come without a gauge. Otherwise, I think Road is longer and thinner than Mountain. Mini is of course the shortest. Turbo is like Mountain in size. I would get one with a gauge. You might be also able to get a spare hose for Road, with a gauge, and fit it to a pump without the gauge, including Mini.

I own both, Road and Mountain Morph, and prefer the Mountain Morph for one reason. The Mountain Morph is a little fatter than the Road Morph and I use a behind the water bottle pump mount and the Mountain Morph fits the mount perfectly. The Road Morph is thinner and slides up and down, you have to make sure the velcro strap is tight but it still can slip so I use two velcro straps.

Lawrence,
Do the pumps come with mounts? If not, what kind of a mount are you using? Any links?

Road Morph comes in a model with gauge: the Road Morph G.
The mount takes the place of a water bottle cage. But it doesn't go under a cage like many other mini-pumps, rather it eliminates the use of a cage at that spot. It can also be zip-tied somewhere else like under the top tube (if you have a large enough frame or don't mind it interfering with the removal of bottles) or along the left seat stay (handy but ugly).
There has been a quest to find a holder that will go under the cage, but the best thing I've found is this: https://www.performancebike.com/shop/...tegory_ID=4363 Unfortunately it's a bit big. Performance's smaller "Micro" version of this pump's mount fits the Road Morph perfectly, but they don't sell the mount separately.

Mountain Morph has been my go-to hand pump for years. My first one finally broke when I let somebody borrow it. I prefer it over the Road Morph cuz I've got big hands and big feet and the interface on there is just a little bit larger and fits me better along with delivering more air volume per pump. I have no problem getting my road tires up to pressure with it.
As far as gauges go on them, they arent the most accurate in the world...I'm sure I can feel the pressure better than they can read it.

Topeak sells a mount for the road morph for $5 that goes beside a water bottle cage. Why they don't supply that with the pump is a mystery that will never be solved. I'm no longer recommending this pump.

Yes, 5 + 2.50 shipping. I just got one myself and it is the best of the two mounts. I agree this should become the standard mount. I noticed it had slots for zip ties just like the older design. So there may be something in the works to make this the new standard. I figure with all the great customer support and free stuff they sent me over the years that 7.50 is a minor issue. I still recommend this pump.
Just FYI ... You can still mount the original under a bottle cage if you use the zip ties.
To answer the original question ..
1. Road morph is longer and thinner for low volume/high pressure tires
2. Mt Morph is fatter for high volume tires
3. Turbo morph is same as Mt Morph, but it has a top mounted dial gauge.
My 40 something eyes are not what they used to be. I sure would love to have that new turbo morph, but my road model is still chugging along. Any of these should serve you well.

Tape It
When I replaced my Schwinn pump with a Topeak Mini Road Morph, it was as stated, a smaller diameter. I simply wrapped some tape around the barrel to increase diameter, so it fits in the holder (attached under the bottle cage) snugly.

It says it will fit a 28mm pump, which is what the road morph is, but this seems to be a zip tied one? not what fits under a bottle cage?
Also it does NOT list the road morph as one of the pumps in the list at the bottom of the page?

My gauge on my road morph is either inaccurate or busted. I use a separate gauge, which is a heck a lot easier to read.
If you're not absolutely minimizing the weight, the Zefal guage is compact enough to carry around without problems.

Though for only another $2.50, I could have a compatible mount and a spare pump: https://www.performancebike.com/shop/...slisearch=true

The Performance Bike link above to the ATB mini mount is the one that I have that fits behind the water bottle cage. I also have one from the bike store for about $3 made by RAV X. Both of these are the perfect size for the Mountain Morph and they both have slots in them for a velcro strap that goes around the frame pump for greater security. I have these on several of my bikes. I also have a Road Morph pump in these but I use two velcro straps. I've tried squeezing the plastic mount closer by boiling in water and using the microwave without much success.

I have had all of the Morph pumps, the only problem I ever had was the foot pad broke on a Turbo Morph(I was using it on some sharp rocks) a phone call to Topeak got me a new pad in a few days. The Turbo is my personal favorite, love that guage! My pumps get used a lot and I use high pressure tires on my road bikes, no problem getting 150 psi. Up until a couple years ago they had a mount that I really liked, it was a simple qr clip that attached with a plastic worm clamp that a piece on the barrel simply clipped into, so of course it had to go.

Anyone remember the original morph, called the combo master blaster? The original mount is still my favorite. I still have a CMB and the first mount. I use it on my Bike-Friday.
