700x???

How much wider is a 700x35 than a 700x25 rim? I am sure you've all heard this one before. I like a wide tire. I ride continental contacts 39 now on a 1982 Schwinn Super sport s/p. I am just looking to replace my wheels and Bike parts USA has some good deals. Thanks.

It is 10mm wider. the 35 is 35mm wide, the 25 is 25mm wide...

Check out the tire size chart on this page. If your tire is 700x39, you will want a rim that is 19-23mm in width.
