Dura Ace 7900 brake compatibility

I bought a mini group of the new Dura Ace 7900 from a friend and planned to mix it with my older 7800 Dura Ace (that did not need replacing)

What I bought: Brifters and front and rear derailleurs.

Of course I have now read that the new 7900 brakes are a bit different. Will they work with my 7900 levers? What other brakes are compatible with the new 7900 brifters?

Thanks for any information.

Bikes: '''96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '12 Surly Pacer, All are 3x8,9 or 10. It is hilly around here!

The older brakes will work fine. The new 7900 brakes may be lighter, prettier, and more expensive but they work the same as the older ones and your 7800 brakes will be fine.

Cool

Awesome. I guess I got wrapped up in reading their hype about less pull or something with the new brakes... when in reality they are probably pretty much the same!

Later today I will be running a rare set up... Dura Ace 7850

Thanks
