stock seat broken

The stock seat on my Specialized Allez broke after a clip less (fall in place) fall, the bar has come out (pic) has anyone had this problem before and is there a way to remedy it? (sorry pic is abit large :P)http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...4/DSC08524.jpg

Don't fall.

About all you can do is try to flex the loose rail (that's what the "bars" are called) and try to pop it back into the receiver tube. Failing that, you are going to have to replace the saddle.

I'd be looking for a new saddle - preferably one that's made tougher. Bike manufacturers have been cutting costs in two places lately. One is in the stock wheels. And the other is - can you guess? - the saddle.

If it flexed out it should flex back in. It may be a two person job though. I hope you weren't seriously injured.

I feel like I've fixed this problem before, and it is therefore fixable. Don't quote me, though. It sure does stink to find a new saddle.

solved, just pulled on the plastic bit the rail goes in and it finally went in

+1 If that doesn't work though, get the equivalent Brooks. Do the same to a Brooks, and it would look fine with a bit of Proofride.
