Pedalling doesn't turn rear wheel?

I've got this Kent Ridge Runner A75 bicycle. I got it last year.

Pic here:
https://www.amazon.com/Mens-Ridge-Run.../dp/B000XHH0L2

I was riding it down the street, not doing anything unusual. Suddenly the chain pops off the gear. I put it back on. Now when I pedal, the chain turns the whole gear assembly like normal but it won't turn the wheel. Instead of turning the wheel, I get this clicking sound from the rear wheel. Once in a while you can feel it "catch" something and then the wheel will begin to turn as normal, but shortly thereafter it seems to disconnect and goes back to just clicking again. It seems that when I turn the bike upside down, it "catches" more frequently as well. I don't even know what the problem is, but would like to fix it myself if possible.

Sounds like the ratchets inside of your freewheel are sticking. The easiest fix is to flush the freewheel out with solvent (WD-40 will work) then relube with a light oil (like chain lube). Depending on your rear hub's design, you might be able to do this with the freewheel still screwed in place but if not, you'll need a freewheel removal tool to unscrew it first.

you need to replace the freewheel. these freewheel are bad and the best thing to do is to return these bikes and have the store replace the freewheels.
