Centaur FD with Chorus shifters

i am doing a build using a chorus 10 group-set from 08. unfortunately, the FD doesn't fit the new frames' tubing. i have a 31.8 Centaur FD from 08. Can i use it? will it affect the functionality of the chorus shifters in any way?
